Oasis
It's sad to say, but yes, they where a band. A band that was formed in Manchester in 1991. The band's first name was "The Rain" and it was formed by Liam Gallagher, Paul Bonehead, Paul Guisgy and Tony McCarroll who were soon joined Liam's older brother Noel Gallagher.
They signed to an Independent record label (Creation Records) and in 1994 they released their record-setting debut album Definitely Maybe. The next year the band recorded Morning Glory with their new drummer, Alan White.
The Gallagher brothers featured regularly in the tabloid newspapers for their sibling disputes and wild style of life.
In 1997 the Oasis released their third album, Be Here Now, and although it became the fastest-selling album in UK chart history, the album's popularity tapered off quickly. The band lost some of their original members, Paul Bonehead and Paul Guisgy who were replaced by Gem Archer and Andy Bell. This two new members came right on time to support the band on the Giants Tour.
By 2005 the band found, once again, success and popularity with Don't Believe the Truth.
Sadly, in August 2009, Noel Gallagher announced his departure from the band after a backstage altercation with Liam before a festival appearance. All the remaining band members led by Liam Gallagher decided to continue working together under the name of Beady Eye.
